Blog Reflection Fourteen
This week we had continued to work on our ancillary products and we had only one product left, the DigiPak. The digipak had been a challenge as the font that we had decided to use was a graffiti style, and we could only generate the images through a copyright free website, so we had to use initiative and create the text that we needed, but remove the white background and use the text, this was successful as the font was legible, to add to the branding of the artist when laying out the digipak we had used an asymmetrical style and had been creative with the CD design, creating it in the style of a barbell plate. Also we had successfully taken appropriate screen grabs from our music video footage, and again I was happy with the finished DigiPak.

This week we had started our ancillary products; a DigiPak and Magazine advert. We had already created our flat plans (Magazine Advert and Digipak) in pre-production, so we had to create our products on the computers. This week we had focused on the magazine advert, although once again our actor had not turned up so that we could take pictures, so therefore we had to make a crucial decision to use screen grabs from our music video footage, this was difficult to get the precise image that we was looking for, but as the deadline for next week was fast approaching we had to fall onto the contingency plan of using screen grabs. Overall, the magazine advert was successful and I was happy with the finished product although It could have been improved if we had taken new images.

Blog Reflection Twelve
Deadline Day! This week we had been working hard to get our music video ready for the deadline, we had cut all of our footage together making sure it was lip synced, this was a challenge due to the pace of the song although we had overcome this successfully. We had been refining the shots, adding all of the final touches, one last minute decision that we had made was to add the blue and red filters to the establishing shots, as the natural colours were dull and didn't add too much impact, so we had decided to add the red and blue filters to replicate a police siren to start the music video by "throwing" the audience directly in.
